Weight Watchers: Getting back to your routine after summer
Summer is winding down and many people are preparing to send their kids back to school. With the change in season comes a chance in routine for many.
Katie Bauer from Weight Watchers joined us to share her advice on living healthier while getting back to your routine. She shared some recipes that can help ease that transition back to normal.
Cucumber Blueberry Feta Salad
2 English cucumber (0)
1 pint blueberries (0)
1/4 Cup or to taste (8) white-balsamic vinaigrette
1/2 Cup fat free feta. (1)
1/4 red onion (0)
9 points for the whole salad.
Buffalo Chicken Pizza
1 Flatout flatbread, Light Original
3 oz. boneless, skinless chicken, cooked and cubed or shredded
¼ cup reduced fat blue cheese, crumbled
½ cup fat-free shredded mozzarella cheese
¼ cup hot sauce, or your favorite wing sauce (may affect SmartPoints value)
1 stalk celery, plus leaves, chopped
¼ cup shredded carrots
Salt and freshly ground pepper
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Place Flatout® flatbread on a cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 degrees for 4 minutes.
Remove from the oven and top the flatbread evenly with both cheeses.
In a small bowl, combine the chicken and hot sauce until blended.
Season with salt and pepper if desired.
Add the chicken to the flatbread, then scatter the chopped celery and shredded carrots over the flatbread.
Bake at 375 degrees for 4 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Remove from oven, cut into slices, drizzle with more wing sauce if desired, and serve immediately.
