Are kids getting too much homework?
In a 13WHAM special report last night, Alexis Arnold looked into claims by parents that their kids are getting too much homework at school.
This morning on Good Day Rochester, we spoke to two parents and two school professionals to look into whether those claims are true and how parents and school districts are working to ease the burden while still keeping students engaged.
For part 1 of our discussion, we spoke to parents Eileen Graham, who's opposed to homework, and Daijah Barnes, who is pro-homework.
In part 2, we spoke to Christina Miga, director of instruction for grades K-6 at the West Irondequoit Central School District, and Andrea Cutt, assistant professor at the University of Rochester's Warner School of Education.
