Pal-Mac senior receives President Scholars nomination
A Pal-Mac High School senior is among 20 in New York State to receive a nomination for the President Scholars program.
Olivia Keller was nominated by Assemblyman Bob Oaks and is the only student in the Rochester area to receive this honor. She balances her school work, sports and community service and her life goal is to work with Doctors Without Borders.
The Presidential Scholar program will select one young man and one young woman from each state to travel to the White House for an award ceremony and to meet with influential Americans. Those nominated will find out if they have been selected in the spring of 2018 and will visit the White House in June.
The program was established to recognize and honor some of the nation's most distinguished graduating high school seniors.
