Teens work to 'Stop the Stigma'

The group Stop the Stigma is working to promote suicide prevention and raise awareness about mental health among youth in the Rochester area.

Maeve Reed, a student at Fairport High School, founded the group following her friend's suicide in 2016.

The group is holding its third annual Stop the Stigma Awareness Concert tomorrow from 6:00-9:30 p.m. at the Perinton Recreation and Parks Amphitheater. You can see the full lineup here.

Proceeds will go to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Maeve Reed joined us on Good Day Rochester to explain what the group is doing and how it's helping continue an important conversation.
