College baseball players spending summer in Rochester

Ashley Doerzbacher worked on her swing this morning with the Rochester Ridgemen as they prepare for tonight's game.

Webster, N.Y. -- The Rochester Ridgemen are one of 10 teams competing in the New York Collegiate Baseball League. Players from colleges across the country are taking part in a 42-game season that runs through June and July. The players are a part of Athletes in Action, a ministry that helps Christian athletes grow in their faith and share it with others.

The Ridgemen are getting ready to face the Olean Oilers tonight at 7:00 at the Basket Road Field in Webster. Admission is free, and you can also get unlimited food at the concessions stand for $10 ($7 for kids). Ashley Doerzbacher spent the morning with the team, getting some pointers on playing baseball and learning more about their experience in Rochester this summer.
