"Stars of Tomorrow" take center stage on GDR

Rochester, N.Y. - Broadway's "Stars of Tomorrow" joined Ashley Doerzbacher on Good Day Rochester this morning to show off their musical talent.

Dozens of area high school students came together to talk about their shows at the Auditorium Theatre.

They also learned a new song and dance in 90 minutes and performed it live on Good Day Rochester!

"Stars of Tomorrow" has brought high school performers together since 1999. High schools from nine counties are divided into four divisions and judged on multiple categories including dancing, acting and singing for their fall or spring productions.

Participating schools also have the chance to perform a number from their show at the Auditorium Theatre during the "Stars of Tomorrow" Recognition Ceremony.

Awards are given to schools with the highest scores in each category.
