3 injured, including teen, in Hopewell crash
Hopewell, N.Y. (WHAM) - Three people were injured after a two-car crash in Hopewell Wednesday morning.
According to Ontario County Sheriff's deputies, 18-year-old Ian Park of Union Springs was driving south on Smith Road near County Road 46 around 8:15 a.m.
Park went through a stop sign at the intersection of Smith and County Rd. 46, colliding with another car driving west on County Rd. 46.
The second vehicle went off the road and crashed into a tree and flower bed. Park's vehicle went off the road and hit the front steps of a home on County Rd. 46.
Park was taken by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital to be treated for a head injury.
The people in the car that was struck - 73-year-old Dennis Hart and 71-year-old Susan Hart - were taken to Clifton Springs Hospital by Finger Lakes Ambulance for complaints of pain.
Park was ticketed for failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to yield the right of way. He will appear in the Town of Hopewell Court to answer to the charges at a later date.
