Parma, N.Y. - Sheriff's deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash involving a Hilton Central School bus Monday morning.

It happened on Huffer Road and North Avenue in Parma around 6:40 a.m.

According to deputies, the man driving the vehicle attempted to make a left turn onto North Avenue after stopping at a stop sign. Deputies say the man turned in front of the school bus, causing the bus driver to veer into the other lane to avoid hitting the other vehicle on the driver's side.

The vehicle hit the underbus luggage storage space. The bus was steered into a yard, resulting in some lawn and tree damage.

There were no kids on the bus at the time of the crash and the bus driver was not injured.

The driver of the other vehicle suffered a minor shoulder injury.
