Local shops step in after sudden Alfred Angelo bridal store closure

Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - After the sudden closure of Alfredo Angelo Bridal stores across the U.S., some brides are trying to figure out what to do.

One of those stores was closed on Ridgeway Avenue in Greece, It closed Thursday evening.

Some local bridal shops are stepping up to help brides and bridesmaids who are having to scramble as a result.

Stella's Bridal Boutique in LeRoy said they will be bringing 50 bride dresses and several other bridesmaids dresses to the parking lot of Alfred Angelo on Ridgeway Avenue.

Platinum Limousine will be escorting the free dresses to Greece.

The owner of Stella's said several brides who were left in the lurch have already contacted her, asking if they can do a fitting.

Since the store itself is closed, fittings will be set up in the parking lot outside.

The New York Attorney General's Office said it recommends anyone with a complaint against Alfred Angelo Bridal to submit it through their website here. Customers can also reach out directly to Alfred Angelo's attorney, Patricia Redmond, Esquire. She works at Stearns Weaver Miller in Miami, Florida.

  • Your name
  • Contact information
  • Where/when the dress was purchased
  • Method of payment used
  • When you were expecting the dress to arrive
  • Amount already paid
  • Detail what was ordered and send a copy of your receipt(s)
