Bath, N.Y. (WHAM) - A man from Hornell convicted of killing a toddler was sentenced Tuesday morning.

According to our ABC affiliate WENY, Dakota Miller was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.

During the Thanksgiving weekend of 2015, 17-month-old Ian Maniske-Huff died as a result of a traumatic brain injury to the head and a slashed liver.

Prosecutors said Miller bit the child so hard, it made Ian bleed.

Back in June, Miller was found guilty of second degree murder and first degree manslaughter in Steuben County Court.

Miller was also sentenced to 25 years with five years post-release supervision on the manslaughter charge. Both sentences will run concurrently.
