Police: Three flee after traffic stop; teenager arrested

Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - Rochester Police say that three males fled a vehicle on foot during a traffic stop at the corner of University Avenue and Chestnut Street Monday afternoon.

Officers say the men might have fled into a building at 147 Liberty Pole Way. The building was searched by police, but no one was taken into custody at the time.

Police set up a perimeter in the area as they searched the building.

Investigators said a handgun was recovered from the vehicle. Police said they later arrested Samuel Wyatt, 19, and charged him with criminal possession of a weapon.
