WNY boy suffers serious injuries in attack by 2 Rottweilers
NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (AP) -- Authorities say a 7-year-old New York boy is hospitalized with severe injuries to his head and face after he was attacked by his relative's two Rottweilers.
Police in the city of Niagara Falls say they responded Wednesday afternoon to a report of a child being attacked by dogs. When officers arrived they found Kaden Mitchell bleeding profusely from bite wounds and a woman struggling to hold onto to one of two male dogs, which both weighed over 100 pounds.
According to our ABC affiliate WKBW, Kaden was put into a medically-induced coma at Women and Children's Hospital.
One of the officers carried Kaden to an ambulance Officials say he's listed in critical condition at a Buffalo hospital. Kaden is the nephew of the dogs' owner.
The dogs were taken to a local animal shelter, where they were euthanized.
Officials say Kaden was playing with a younger relative when the dogs attacked him.
