WASHINGTON (Sinclair Broadcast Group) -- Rene Williams was overcome with emotion as she described the situation her trapped family members were going through during Sunday's flood in Houston.

Williams' daughter was on the phone with her as she attempted to leave her house alongside her kids.

At least two people have been killed during the catastrophic event which the National Weather Service is calling "historic."

Over 300 rescue requests have been made after severe storms linked to Tropical Storm Harvey hit the city.
