Buffalo Bills to retire Thurman Thomas' No. 34 jersey

Orchard Park, N.Y. (WHAM) - The Buffalo Bills are honoring Hall of Fame running back Thurman Thomas by retiring his jersey.

The team announced Wednesday it will honor Thomas in a ceremony on October 29 during the Monday Night Football matchup with the New England Patriots at New Era Field.

Thomas wore the No. 34 jersey during his 12 seasons with the team.

Thomas is just the third Buffalo Bills player to have his jersey retired, joining Jim Kelly (No. 12) and Bruce Smith (No. 78).
