Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - Rochester Rhinos head coach Bob Lilley will be leaving the team to coach with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.

Lilley announced his decision to leave Tuesday.

During his time in Rochester, Lilley served as the Rochester Rhinos' head coach for two separate time periods: 2010 - 2011 and 2014 - 2017.

Lilley ended his career with the Rhinos with a record of 87-37-53 during 177 matches. That included a 2015 USL Championship.

“We will certainly miss Bob Lilley’s expertise and his incredible knowledge of soccer," said Wendy Dworkin, co-owner of the team. "He’s been a guiding force as coach of the Rochester Rhinos and we are grateful for all he has done for our team and soccer in Rochester."

David and Wendy Dworkin plan to hold a news conference to discuss the future of professional soccer in Rochester on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 2:30 p.m.

"We are proud to be part of the storied history of the Rochester Rhinos soccer team. We expect to have more announcements this week to explain the critical needs of our organization and where things stand," said David Dworkin.
