IndyCar champion Ryan Hunter-Reay live on Good Day Rochester

Former IndyCar and Indy 500 champion Ryan Hunter-Reay is gearing up to race at Watkins Glen, where he scored his first career win back in 2008.

The IndyCar Series returns to Watkins Glen International in two weeks, with the IndyCar Grand Prix at the Glen scheduled for Sept. 3.

Ryan Hunter-Reay scored his first career IndyCar Series win at Watkins Glen in 2008. He's since gone on to win the 2012 series championship and the 2014 Indianapolis 500, among his 14 career race wins.

He joined us on Good Day Rochester to explain what makes Watkins Glen unique on the IndyCar schedule, why the track has special significance for him and how he's using his career to honor his mother and help in the fight against cancer.
