Governor candidate Cynthia Nixon visits Geneva, discusses plan to protect environment
Democratic Candidate for Governor, Cynthia Nixon visited Geneva Thursday.
The former "Sex and the City" actress was at the Ramada Geneva Lakefront where she spoke with neighbors about her plan to protect the environment in the Finger Lakes region.
Nixon spoke about her opposition to a recently proposed garbage incinerator in the Town of Romulus.
"California Governor Jerry Brown would never ever allow a giant garbage incinerator to be sited in the middle of Napa Valley," said Nixon. "Why in the world would our Governor Andrew Cuomo sit idly by and allow this incinerator to be sited in the heart of the finger lakes," Nixon added.
Nixon also announced her opposition to the Crestwood Propane Storage Project.
This was Nixon's first visit in the Finger Lakes since she announced she was running for Governor.
