Pregnant Khloe Kardashian defends fitness routine against social media criticism
Pregnant Khloe Kardashian is refusing to scale back her fitness regime despite facing backlash on social media.
The reality star, who is expecting her first child, began posting videos of her workouts on Snapchat over the Christmas holiday weekend, with one showing the 33-year-old using a StairMaster machine and lifting weights.
"I love that I can finally snap my workouts again... but Merry Christmas Eve and more workouts to come," she captioned the post.
However, many online users shared their disapproval of Kardashian adopting such an intense routine while pregnant, leading her to defend herself in a follow-up post on Twitter.
The blonde beauty hit back at her detractors and shared an article from fitpregnancy.com detailing the benefits of working out while expecting. She also noted that her doctor has encouraged her to keep moving.
"For the ones who think they are physicians all of a sudden," she wrote, along with a facepalm emoji. "MY doctor and I communicate and my workouts are cleared and highly recommended. Thanks kiddos! Don't make me stop sharing s***."
Kardashian finally confirmed her pregnancy on December 20 via an Instagram post of her boyfriend Tristan Thompson's hands cradling her growing baby bump.
She wrote alongside the image, "My greatest dream realized! We are having a baby! I had been waiting and wondering but God had a plan all along."
On Monday, Kardashian shared that she is six months into her pregnancy.
