All throughout next month, the 18th Annual Rochester International Children's Film Festival will open virtually, giving kids free access to award-winning short films. The films are chosen by Ruth Cowing, a 20+ year veteran in the industry, and are vetted by a team of early childhood education professionals. Thus, these films are developmentally appropriate and free of violence.
Last year, over 6,000 children and adults tuned into the festival from over 20 states and 10 countries. After the films, there will be opportunity discussion, vocabulary work, and book suggestions.
This morning we were joined by Festival Facilitator Susan Neal to learn about this cool opportunity.
