Bestselling author to headline Children Awaiting Parents luncheon

Children Awaiting Parents and the Donald J. Corbett Adoption Agency will host the Heart Gallery Luncheon next week in Rochester.

The organization helps families looking to adopt, and never turns away any family looking to do so.

The luncheon is happening Nov. 27 from noon-1:30 pm. at the Floreano Convention Center.

The keynote speaker will be Christian Baker Kline, author of the bestselling novel Orphan Train.

Lauri McKnight, executive director of CAP/Corbett, and Veronica Black, a community outreach specialist and family trainer who's also an adoptive parent, joined us this morning to talk more about the event and how the organization is helping families here in the Rochester area.
