Celebration of Polish film comes to Rochester

Jan Kidawa-Blonski's film "Stars" ("Gwiazdy") plays tonight at 7:00 at The Little Theatre.

The University of Rochester's Skalny Center for Polish and Central European Studies is hosting the 20th annual Polish Film Festival this week.

The event runs through Sunday at The Little Theatre. Tickets are $9 to the general public and $7 for students.

One of the featured films is "Stars" ("Gwiazdy"), which tells the story of Polish soccer star Jan Banas' rise to fame.

The film's director and writer, Jan Kidawa-Blonski, joined us on Good Day Rochester this morning, before the film plays tonight at 7:00 as part of the festival.
