Chefs serving up tastes from around the world for competition

Ashley Doerzbacher showed us some the dishes with international flair that will be served up at the Taste of Legacy competition Thursday night.

Brighton, N.Y. -- Chefs from Legacy Senior Living Communities facilities across the Rochester area will compete for the Golden Spoon Award later this week, while helping benefit a good cause.

The Taste of Legacy is in its 11th year of helping raise money for the Pirate Toy Fund, which supplies toys to local kids in need.

The event is happening Thursday from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Legacy at Clover Blossom in Brighton. Advance tickets will cost $40 and will be $50 at the door.

The eight competing chefs each have a unique dish from a different international city.

Ashley Doerzbacher caught up with some of the chefs this morning to see what they're preparing, and also talked to Pirate Toy Fund founder Gary the Happy Pirate about how the event will help.
