Christopher's Challenge benefits leukemia research

The annual Christopher's Challenge 5K and Kick Cancer 15K Series races are coming up this weekend in Rochester.

The races are happening 9 a.m. Sunday at Seneca Park, benefiting leukemia research.

The event is held in honor of Christopher Costello, a young man from Webster who was battling leukemia 20 years ago when he found a match and had a successful bone marrow transplant.

Both Christopher and his donor will be at Sunday's event. Christopher's mother, Kathy, and board member Doreen Massie joined us on Good Day Rochester to talk about, how it's benefiting those in need and what else Christopher's Challenge does.
