'Fast Forward' highlights short films with environmental focus

Tim Stringer and Mirjam Makovec's 'A Fortune' tells the story a young boy who one day finds a seed of hope. It's part of the Fast Forward Film Festival, happening Friday and Saturday in Rochester.

The annual Fast Forward Film Festival is coming up this weekend in Rochester.

The event includes 19 film selections made in the Rochester area, featuring creative storytelling with an environmental focus.

The film screening is Friday at 7 p.m. at the Little Theatre, with the awards gala Saturday at the George Eastman Museum at 6:30 p.m.

Festival ambassador Claire Sauter joined us on Good Day Rochester, along with RIT animation students Tim Stringer and Mirjam Makovec, whose film 'A Fortune' is in the festival.
