Genesee Country Village & Museum hosts Maple Festival

It's maple season here in Western New York, and the Genesee Country Village & Museum is celebrating with the Maple Sugar Festival the next two weekends.

Visitors can enjoy the smell of syrup in the air with a hike along the Maple History Trail, with a look at how maple syrup used to be made and how it's still made today. Of course, there will be an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast as well. The Sugar Shack will also be open, featuring maple treats, and there will also be maple cotton candy available at the Nature Center.

The event runs from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. March 17-18 and 24-25. Admission is free for kids.

Melissa Marszalek and Brian Nagel from the Genesee Country Village & Museum joined us on Good Day Rochester to explain all that's happening.
