An estimated one in six people will experience elder abuse later in life, but most cases go unreported. Deb Bernacki, CEO of Happier at Home, joined us to explain what exactly elder abuse is, how to spot it and how to report it.

Risk factors include: low social support, dementia, functional impairment and poor physical health. Also, women are more likely to be targets.

Signs include: phyiscal abuse, emotional abuse, financial abuse and neglect.
