'Homegrown Ocho' features local music & beer

A Girl Named Genny is one of the local bands taking part in Homegrown Ocho, happening all day Saturday at Lovin' Cup in Henrietta. The band performed for us on good Day Rochester this morning.

A celebration of local music and drinks is coming up this weekend at the Homegrown Ocho festival.

The 8th annual event features more than 35 brewers from across New York state and more than 30 local eateries, along with local bands, wineries distilleries, art, music and more.

The all-day party starts and noon Saturday at Lovin' Cup in Henrietta and runs until 2 a.m., co-sponsored by Three Heads Brewing.

Advance tickets are $40, or $50 at the door.

Leslie Zinck Ward, co-owner of Lovin' Cup, and Geoff Dale, co-founder of Three Heads Brewing, joined us this morning to talk more about the event.
