A new and exciting art exhibit titled "Into the Wild" reflecting themes of the word "Wild" will be on display in Rochester at Studio 34 Creative Arts Center on Elton Street.
"Into the Wild" will feature local artists Dick Roberts and his daughter Alison Roberts. Dick previously was the art director for the Democrat and Chronicle and created commercial art for businesses in Rochester. Allison is the founder of the popular comedy troupe EstroFest and works as a freelance painter, muralist, illustrator, and public artist.
Alison joined us on Good Day Rochester to discuss the types of abstract work that explore issues related to war, race, socioeconomic status, employment, and gender that audiences can expect at the art exhibit.
An opening reception with a chance to engage with the artists will be held on Friday, April 1 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The Show runs through April 23. Masks and proof of vaccination are required.
The Gallery hours are Saturday, April 2 and April 9 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and on Wednesday, April 13 and April 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
