Locally filmed web series tackles racism, policing
A locally filmed web series is returning for a third season.
Dark Justice is filmed here in Rochester, centered around racism and corruption in a local police department.
Amir Johnson, played by Che Holloway, is the first African American police officer in the small town, paired with an overtly racist partner played by Tim O'Connor.
The series has won a number of awards at film festivals across the country, including Best Comedy Short at the Cinema New York City Film Festival and Best Web Series at the Roc Awards.
Holloway and series director Mike Gerbino joined us today on Good Day Rochester.
