Postal Service marks Dog Bite Prevention Week

Tony Vilardo shows us how mail carriers are trained to protect themselves in the event of a dog attack.

This week marks National Dog Bite Prevention Week in the U.S.

Rochester ranks among the top 30 cities for dog attacks in the country.

The U.S. Postal Service is helping spread the word about how you can help cut down on the number of attacks.

The goal of the campaign is to help dog owners, parents, kids and employees on how to minimize possible injuries, trauma, and in some cases, financial losses.

Tony Vilardo, a mail carrier, and USPS spokeswoman Karen Mazurkiewicz joined us on Good Day Rochester to explain what you need to know and what you can do to help.
