Raise a pint to raise a roof

Habitat for Humanity of Ontario County is raising a pint to raise a roof.

A fundraiser coming up this week will help support the organization's Global Village efforts to build disaster-resistant homes in Nepal.

The event is happening Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Naked Dove Brewing Company in Canandaigua, which will be serving pints and growlers from the release of Nice & Naughty Christmas Ale.

All pints will cost $5, with tips going to Habitat for Humanity and an additional dollar being donated toward the trip for every pint poured and an additional $2 for every growler filled.

There will also be prizes every half hour.

Jacklyn Cotter, volunteer coordinator for Americorps, and Nash Bock, Ontario County Habitat for Humanity executive director, joined us on Good Day Rochester to explain their mission.
