'Rock the Cure' works to fight juvenile diabetes


    Guy Smiley will headline Rock the Cure tomorrow night at Anthology.

    The annual Rock the Cure concert benefiting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is happening this weekend.

    The concert starts at 6 p.m. tomorrow and runs all night at Anthology on East Avenue.

    Bands include Guy Smiley, The Shakin’ Bones, Branded, The Fallen, Diggler’s Bridge, and River Lyntch and the Spiritmakers

    Admission is $15 at the door, with proceeds benefiting JDRF.

    Guy Smiley gave us a sneak-peek performance this morning. We also talked to JDRF ambassador Ashley Schreiner and her mother, Laurie Turner-Schreiner, JDRF board chancellor and organizer of the event, about their ongoing efforts to fight juvenile diabetes.
