School supply drive benefits kids in need

Teachers will be selected next month for the opportunity to fill up a shopping cart with some of the school supplies donated to the Pencils and Paper drive.

The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Pencils and Paper to collect school supplies for Rochester students in need.

Items will be collected through Aug. 10, and then teachers from high-poverty school will be invited to fill up shopping carts full of items for free.

Program coordinator Howard Grossman and Adrian Hale, strategic initiatives manager for the Chamber, joined us on Good Day Rochester to explain how the drive works and how you can help.
