Avon Inn prepares for grand reopening

Avon, N.Y. -- A Livingston County landmark is getting ready to reopen later this month.

The Avon Inn closed nearly two years ago, but it's getting new life with its new owners, Jim and Jennifer Krause.

The Inn, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, is scheduled to reopen on New Year's Eve with a gala and celebration.

The facility is now accepting bookings for weddings in the new year, and will also be available for other special events with up to 200 guests. It will also have 14 hotel-style rooms available beginning in April, along with a casual dining room and bar.
