Former MTV News reporter brings new book to Rochester

Tabitha Soren is discussing her book "Fantasy Life: Baseball and the American Dream" tonight at 6:00 at the George Eastman Museum.

Tabitha Soren is best known as an MTV News reporter during the '90s. Since leaving MTV, she's taken up photography.

Her new book "Fantasy Life: Baseball and the American Dream" tells the stories of the 2002 Oakland A's draft class, which Soren began documenting 15 years ago and has followed up with ever since.

That draft class was also the subject of the book "Moneyball," written by Soren's husband, Michael Lewis. One member of that class, Brian Stavisky, spent some time in Rochester following his baseball career and was photographed at High Falls.

Soren will be talking about the book and signing copies at the Dryden Theatre at the George Eastman House starting at 6:00 tonight. She joined us on Good Day Rochester to talk about her work and what guests can expect at tonight's event.
