Gates-Chili schools using life-saving Mobilize Rescue Systems made in Pittsford

(FOX Rochester) - The Gates-Chili School District is using a new state-of-the-art first-aid kit.

Mobilize Rescue Systems is created and manufactured in Pittsford.

Since it takes an average of 9-15 minutes for an ambulance to arrive at the scene of a medical emergency, Mobilize said its mission is to empower bystanders to use materials inside their new first-aid kits.

Mobilize has been in the district for about one year. The district has trained most of its faculty on using them, including bus drivers, custodians and others.

Gates-Chili Schools Superintendent Kimberle Ward and the people behind Mobilize joined our Ashley Doerzbacher Tuesday morning to talk about the system, how it works, and the company's campaign to get more of these in the hands of schools and first responders.
