Holiday Village turns Rochester into winter wonderland

The Winter Igloos at Roc Holiday Village are already booked for the rest of the festival. The heated domes include comfortable furniture, great views and bar service that guests can rent for one-hour increments.

Rochester, N.Y. -- Roc Holiday Village made its grand debut last weekend, with hopes that it becomes a new tradition in the city.

The inaugural festival runs every weekend until Christmas at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park at Manhattan Square, open Fridays from 4-8 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Activities for people of all ages include free ice skating, Breakfast with Santa, pop-up restaurants, crafts, music, parties and much more.

There will also be a Holiday Bar open from 4-11 p.m. Fridays, 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Saturdays and noon-6 p.m. Sundays.

Before the festivities resume this afternoon, Ashley Doerzbacher caught up with organizers to see what's going on this weekend.
