Red Wings celebrate 100 years of the garbage plate

Ashley puts the mustard 'R' on a plate as she learns how to make a plate at Frontier Field this morning.

Rochester, N.Y. -- The Red Wings are celebrating the 100th anniversary of Nick Tahou's famous garbage plate tonight.

Rochester's favorite dish is taking over Frontier Field for one night, and the Red Wings are transforming themselves into the "Plates" for one game, wearing special uniforms and hats to mark the occasion.

Nick Tahou's will be serving up its famous garbage plates, and several other types of plates will be available at other concession stands.

Gates open at 5:30 tonight, with the first pitch scheduled for 7:05 against the Norfolk Tides.

Ashley Doerzbacher caught up with Red Wings GM Dan Mason and Nick Tahou's owner Alex Tahou this morning as they prepare for the big night.
