Roc City Hurling brings taste of Ireland to Rochester
Ashley Doerzbacher takes a whack at hurling this morning, learning from the Roc City Hurling club at Aardvark Park in Henrietta.
Henrietta, N.Y. -- Hurling is one of the most popular sports in Ireland, and a local group hopes it can gain a following here in Western New York.
Roc City Hurling, founded in 2013, is giving a chance to people in our area to learn the game and compete against teams from other cities.
Ashley Doerzbacher joined the team for a practice at Aardvark Park this morning to see how the game is played and how you can get involved.
