The West Irondequoit Foundation is kicking off another year of helping to support programs throughout the West Irondequoit Central School District. And this year, they will be taking aim at raising money through a cornhole tournament.

The tournament will be on October 12, at St. Paul Firemen's Exempt Club, 609 Thomas Avenue, from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. They are looking for 32 teams of two to sign up to compete, and businesses to help sponsor boards. Board will feature their logo and be made by the students.

The West Irondequoit Foundation officially kicked off their fundraising efforts with Good Day Rochester. Students, coaches, principals and other district leaders came out to play a few games of cornhole - along with Norma Holland, Alexis Arnold and Ashley Doerzbacher.
