Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - Rock legend and Rochester native Eddie Money will be launching the world premiere of his musical Wednesday night.

Two Tickets to Paradise: The Eddie Money Musical debuts at the Kodak Center in Rochester from February 14-18.

Eddie Money created and stars in the musical about his rise and subsequent musical career. The performance was adapted and arranged by the Rochester Association of Performing Arts (RAPA).

“For me, the musical captures that most important time when you’re starting out before you get jaded,” Money said. “It’s not just a Rock of Ages and it’s not just a rock ‘n’ roll musical. It’s a Broadway musical with Broadway-style songs.”

The initial five-show run will feature the following performances:

  • Wednesday, Feb. 14 (Valentine’s Day) at 7:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Friday, Feb. 16 at 7:30 p.m. (ASL-interpreted performance)
  • Saturday, Feb. 17 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, Feb. 18 at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $39.50 to $59.50 and are on sale at RapaTheatre.org, in person at Record Archive, or by calling (585) 254-0073.

13WHAM's Ashley Doerzbacher was at Tuesday's dress rehearsal and brought us an inside look at the show Wednesday morning.
