Woman pleads guilty to fiery wrong way DWI crash in Nov. 2017
Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - The Rochester women woman indicted on multiple drunk driving charges following a wrong way crash on Rt. 490 East last November, has pleaded guilty to all counts.
According to the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office, Marissa Pecora, 27, pleaded guilty to the four-count indictment of Aggravated DWI, DWI per se, Common Law DWI and reckless driving. The DWI charges are all felony convictions due to Pecora’s previous DWI conviction. Pecora was offered the opportunity from Judge Randall to go on a one-year interim probation.
The DA’s office says if Pecora successfully completes the probation, she will be sentenced to six months in the Monroe County Jail and 5 year’s probation.
If she fails to follow her probation order, Pecora will be given 1-3 years in state prison.
On November 1st, Pecora crashed into a tractor trailer after driving west in the eastbound lane on Rt. 490 between the Bushnell's Basin and Route 31 exits.
The driver of the tractor trailer managed to escape before the vehicle became fully engulfed in flames.
Pecora had also been arrested the previous January for DWI and aggravated DWI charges.
She had pleaded guilty to those charges and had her license revoked for six months at her sentencing.
