Excessive speed blamed for accident that killed motorcyclist
SAN ANTONIO – Speed may have played a factor in an accident that left a motorcyclist dead Friday night on the North Side. The accident happened just after 8:30pm at the intersection of Blanco and Alametos.
Witnesses tell police the motorcyclist was speeding down Blanco Road when a car going the opposite direction was turning left into a restaurant. Police tell us the driver never saw the motorcycle and the two collided.
The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike. EMS tried to save him, but he died at the scene.
Police had no suspicion of DWI, and the driver is not facing any charges.
