Fairport valedictorian stays sharp through fencing

Soccer, basketball and tennis those are generally the sports kids try out at a young age, but Fairport's Megan Ross had other plans. At the age of 12, Ross picked up fencing and since then she hasn't put down her sword, but that isn't Ross' only passion. Ross has already signed on to fence at Division I Temple University next season with plans to study bio-medical engineering with a focus on tissue engineering.

13WHAM's Jenna Cottrell has Megan's story of her lofty goals in medical research and how fencing has helped prepare her for the challenge.
