Trailing 3-1 in the third, the Rochester Americans picked up goals from Matt Tennyson and Sahir Gill to tie it at three and force overtime. But as has been a familiar story lately, the Amerks were tripped up in overtime, falling 4-3 to the Devils.

Adam Wilcox got the start in net with Jonas Johansson backing him up. Linus Ullmark was not available after taking a puck high in Friday's loss to Toronto. Ullmark remained in the game, but was clearly shaken up. Wilcox made 31 saves in the loss.

Rochester remains in second place with 61 points, but is now eight points behind first place Toronto, and just four points ahead of third place Utica, and five points ahead of fourth place Syracuse.

The Amerks are back on the ice Wednesday night at home against Belleville.
