Sean McDermott doesn't rule Josh Allen out of week 10 game at Jets
Josh Allen appears to be inching towards a return from his sprained right elbow, and there is some hope that return could come as soon as next week.
Sean McDermott told Joe Buscaglia of our Buffalo affiliate WKBW-TV that he had not yet ruled the rookie quarterback out of next Sunday's game in New Jersey against the Jets.
Allen has missed the last three games with a sprained right elbow suffered during Buffalo's week six loss in Houston. In his absence, Derek Anderson has started two games, while Nate Peterman started one. The Bills offense failed to eclipse ten points in all three of those games.
While Allen was struggling himself before getting injured, he was under center for both of Buffalo's wins this season, and has not done the one thing that both Peterman and Anderson have had a penchant to do...deliver a back breaking turnover at a critical juncture of the game.
If Allen does in fact miss next week's game against the Jets, he will get an extra week of rest. The Bills have their bye in week 11, before returning to play Jacksonville at home in week 12.
